Plumbing Engineering

Overview

Plumbing systems are often overlooked and yet are one of the most vital parts of an overall building design. Most of what engineers do when designing specific building systems is dictated by local, state, and federal codes; however, with plumbing systems design, art and science are mixed in with code requirements. Our engineers offer a comprehensive understanding of all design elements when preparing plumbing systems construction documents. We carefully coordinate the appropriate type of fixtures in different areas of a building while paying attention to code requirements and fixture placement. With every design, we also consider sustainable “green” ideas. Whether we collect storm water for irrigation or select low-flow plumbing fixtures, our goal for each project is to provide the lowest possible consumption of potable water while still balancing project budget. Our designs consider the whole building as we coordinate plumbing systems with other design disciplines, owner provided equipment, and the community outside a building.

Ideas. Made. Real.
